No Labels

The no labels group sounds like a dumb idea to me.  Maybe they should call the movement “Politicians that Stand for Nothing”, Or “Guess what I Stand for Party”.  Of course it still won’t keep us from applying our own labels as needed as illustrated by John Hinderacker.

Sure: if you are an office-holder, there is much to be said for suppressing harsh criticism. The Democrats pumped out a steady stream of assassination fantasies when George W. Bush was President, but once they took control of the White House, as well as Congress, they suddenly started advocating civility. Great; we are models of civility. But that isn’t going to stop us from saying that Bernie Sanders is a socialist, and Barack Obama’s Senate voting record was to Sanders’ left.

Could it be it’s really about those who leftist but don’t want to admit it in public?

About Liberty

Blogging is something I do for myself. I've been blogging since Sept. 2003, mostly about politics, guns, and observations about the word around me.
