Enterprise Fire at Mont Belvieu

A leak, a spark. Disaster. Flames 500 feet into the air, the smoke  visible for miles around. A contractor is probably dead. an explosion and Fire at an Enterprise facility in Mont Belvieu.

I have been in a lot of refineries and chemical plants.  Most have safety as the highest priorities. Plants that process  Liquefied compressed gases are the  scariest. Most industrial accidents involve a series of several events. Liquefied gases when they escape, after vaporizing into a gas will cling to the ground and continue to spread until a spark is found no long series of events needed.   Let us all be grateful to make it home from work tonight.
