Wharton Buccees

Bucky's Carvings

Just off of Highway 59 in Wharton County there is a destination Buc-ees, not unlike the huge one on I-10 near San Antonio. It even has a the Bucee’s Outdoors. The Wharton County Bucee’s has the huge soft drink and coffee bars, jerky and Beaver Nuggets. The bathrooms as always are very clean. What fascinated me are the Indian Carvings, most holding the tradition bundle of cigars. There are about a dozen of them scattered around the store, and a few Cowboys. Some are painted others in the two tone mesquite.

Has anyone ever wondered why in the midst of a recession that Buccee’s is undergoing such tremendous growth?
